Adult Altar Servers
Adults who assist the priest
at funeral liturgies.
Daylong experiences of hospitality,
spiritual formation, renewal and fellowship for men
5th grade and older boys and
girls who assist the priest at liturgies.
Persons who create such garments for
infants and adults.
Persons who bring
comfort to those who have lost a loved one by staying in touch
with them for one year through phone calls and

for those in need of comfort during serious illness or difficulties
Persons who welcome
people as they come to worship.
Persons, 16 years and older, who proclaim
the Word of the Lord at our liturgies.
Men’s Group Ministry (MGM)
A men’s group which meets to explore and
share topics of Faith and
Ministers of Care
Persons who visit the sick in local
hospitals and bring the Eucharist to the homebound
and those in local health care facilities.
Ministers of the Eucharist
Persons, 16 years and older, who assist
the celebrant of the Mass by giving
the Eucharist to those present.
Adult choir, children’s choir, handbell
choir, resurrection choir, contemporary group,
instrumentalists, cantors, cherub choir.
Sisters in the Lord
Women’s scripture reflection group.
Men and women who
provide assistance to the congregation during worship services.
Wedding Rehearsal Team
assist couples with their wedding rehearsals.
Adult Education Program
Faith development for adults.
Couples assist families in preparation
Children of the Lord
Faith development for four- and
five-year-old children during Sunday’s 9:30AM Mass.
Children’s Athletic Ministry
Athletic programs for parish boys and
girls in grades 1-8 including basketball,
soccer, volleyball, golf and football (through St. Alexander
provide family oriented activities to encourage family faith
Marriage Preparation (Pre-Cana)
Couples assist with individuals preparing
Religious Education Program (REP)
Faith development of grade school
children – grades 1 – 8.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
the process of becoming a Catholic
and initiation for those adults in need of sacraments.
Vacation Bible School
Grade school children attend a one-week
enrichment program during the summer.
Address the needs of young people through
social, sports, service and faith formation
activities. Programming offered for junior high (6th
, 7th, 8th grades), high school and young adults.
Youth Ministry Alumni Association
Former youth ministry teens, now young
adults, joining together
to fundraise for Youth Ministry sponsored events.
HUMAN CONCERNS MINISTRIES
Junior high and high school students baby
sit during the Sunday 9:30AM Mass for one
or two children two to four years of age with
assistance and supervision by adults.
Persons assist in planning and
implementing the quarterly blood drives.
Cancer Support Group
This ministry offers support to those in
similar life situations.
Persons give time and help to prepare
meals, provide transportation or baby care in

distribution of clothing for those in need.
Persons assist in the collection of goods
for our sharing parish and others in need.
Food Donation Ministry
Volunteers pick up donated food at a
local grocer on Sunday mornings and
deliver items to our local soap kitchen.

Giving Tree Helpers
Ministry of outreach which offers
Christmas gifts to less fortunate families and
children in and outside of the parish community.
Volunteers organize gift tags for the Giving Tree
and sort returned gifts to be distributed.
HOPE Employment Support Ministry
Spiritually based network of parishioners
and underemployed job seekers to make connections with employers
and each other.

Ministries – Bread Truck -
Persons who prepare
lunches which are distributed to the less fortunate
by Port Ministries.
Preparation takes place monthly at our parish.
Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS)
Persons who assist the homeless either at
local sites or as
cooking team volunteers.
Parishioners participate in a one day
service project which improves the
homes of elderly, disabled and low-income residents in nearby
communities. Projects vary
and experience is not necessary.
Persons develop and implement programs
dedicated to respect for life issues.
St. Peter’s Rabbit Patch Bunnies
Ministry of outreach which offers an
Easter basket to less fortunate
children in various Catholic and community organizations.
Volunteers organize and distribute baskets.
St. Vincent dePaul Society
Members minister to the needy within our
PARISH LIFE MINISTRIES
Members meet at Hackney’s the second
Wednesday of each month – September through May.
Persons provide assistance as offertory
Morning weekday walking in the gym either
individually or with peers.
Persons who help with set-up, serving and
clean-up when refreshments are served after
Mass or special liturgies.
Knights of Columbus
- provide service
and social events for youth, church, community and families.
Parishioners assemble parish wide
mailings at various times of the year.
Ministry Sign-Up Committee
Persons provide information about parish
ministries and recruitment
support and plan sign-up weekend.
This ministry communicates information
about parish activities and news within the
Senior citizens club meets the first
Tuesday of each month to plan and have activities,
events and trips.
Special Events Committee
Persons plan and implement parish
activities including the golf outing,
fish fry and the parish dinner.
